Hi

I am considering buying the

AU9000 43" TV, however I need to know whether I can get Freeview in the UK on this TV without a cable connection.

Hi Ronmas, I don't think it's possible to get freeview on them models of samsing TV's, I've tried myself and I don't think it's possible so I'm guessing the only way to get live TV is by samsung TV plus or by apps avaliable on samsung store pre built on the TV or you could use a cable connection. HI @Ronmas  Freeview is built in, however You will need a aerial to receive the  Broadcast service in the Uk .  Catch up services (such as iplayer,ITV Hub, All4,My5)work solely via the Internet, Freeview Play  though is not supported on Samsung Tv's. some information here https://www.freeview.co.uk/help/do-i-need-aerial   Samsung Tv Plus also offers a variety of on Demand Tv  https://www.samsung.com/uk/tvs/smart-tv/samsung-tv-plus/all-channels/
