Hi, my Samsung smart TV (UE49NU8000 49, purchased 11 months ago brand new) keeps disconnecting from my WiFi. I have spoke to Samsung and they have even gone to the measure of sending a third party company out to replace the part that connects to wireless networks. However, its still doing it.
The only way I can get it to reconnect is by turning the TV off and on again, it will not reconnect if I try and do it through the network settings, I have to turn the TV off and on again.
I have spoken to my Internet provider, and all is fine on their side, and no other wirless connection (phones, Xbox etc) ever disconnect.
I have done multiple factory resets, most of which were done whilst on the phone with Samsung, and all updates are done too.
I am at a total loss, can anyone help?
Thanks.

This solution of splitting the bands also worked for me.
I use verizon fios, with a verizon fios router. Default settings on the router had SON enabled - Self Organizing Network.
From verizon's website: "What is SON?
Self-Organizing Networks (SON) significantly improve Wi-Fi performance by automatically identifying and fixing Wi-Fi problems.
Connected devices will move seamlessly between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi signals, and between access points if a Fios Network Extender has been added to your home network."
This setting put out a single SSID for both 2.4GHz and 5 GHz signals. I disabled this which split the bands - I set my Samsung Q70A 75'' to the 5 GHz dedicated SSID, and haven't had a problem since. Worth a try as a solution for anyone experiencing issues.

Having same issues with my Q80T - only 3 months old.
Wifi would disconnect at various times.
Tried everything mentioned in this discussion board, except the "disable IPv6".
Not listed as an option when I navigate to "Expert settings".
Not sure where to find it.
Monitoring this forum in case anybody posts anymore insights.

Did you try splitting the 2.4ghz and 5.0ghz bands on the router?

The solution is easy. Just give up on using your Samsung TV wireless card and buy one of these wireless WiFi streaming devices.

I use Chromecast with Google TV and it works flawlessly.

That is most likely what I will do.
I'll just get an Nvidia Shield and be done with this.
First experience with smart tv. I didn't realize it was so flakey.
Stupid Samsung.

Hi I have a TP Link DECO M 4 system and I know it outputs a single network for both 2.4 and 5 GHz I have switched off one of the 2.4Ghz signal but the TV still drops out. The annoying this is thhat I have a Samsung Smart TV that I bought last year and it operates absolutely fine on the DECO M4 mesh router that I have so this does not make sense??

Thanks for the comment but I wanted to be able to turn my TV on through Alexa and whilst the streaming devices work for streaming they won't provide this function....

The best solution is to turn off "Instant On" via the secret service menu, see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGngUs30dh0 Then every time WiFi works flawlessly. And yes, it takes about 30 seconds extra to startup the TV but it's definitely worth it.
