Hi,
I have a fault on a new TV from Argos, who have suggested asking for help from Samsung.
It is a Samsung 43in
Model Code UE43DU7100KXXU
Purchased 19th February 2025
After auto tuning in the channels, I noticed that the process does not pick up all the channels, especially, HD digital - worse, the other inputs interfere with the signal.
i.e. any HDMI cable that is connected and even moved slightly breaks up the channels/signal
Internet connection via fibre is good, however.
I have replaced the actual cable from the wall socket to the TV coax input, but still any HDMI cable that are also connected next to the Coax input do inhibit the signal coming into the Coax input.
I unplugged the HDMI cable, and left the Coax connected, and lost most of the channels until I re-plugged a HDMI cable into any available input to get some to work. However, if the HDMI cable is juggled slightly, the channels won't work properly, i.e. are not found or break up.
Furthermore, I have not connected the HDMI cable to any device, such as a laptop. I have had to leave a HDMI cable carefully plugged into a HDMI input to get a half decent signal in the Coax input.
It seems like a grounding error or similar in the actual TV input housing is the problem.
Please advise.
Thank you.

Thanks in advance - Is there a way to forward this detail to Samsung with the photo's, so I won't have to regurgitate it all again?! Cheers!

Hi @pgtipz ,
Advice from my TV tech colleagues on this one:
"“Dear valued customer, the issue you report is related to the poor shielding of signals within the HDMI cable in use. Because the signals carried by the HDMI cable are not shielded correctly, they are interfering with the reception of the specific DVB-T2 (HD) Multiplex resulting in the lack of reception of those specific HD channels included in these Multiplexes. Please replace the HDMI cable with one of better quality, you can refer to HDMI.org for advice on how to identify those cables that comply with HDMI.org specifications. There is no defect with your new Samsung TV & replacing this cable will allow you to enjoy all the functions & features without issue.”

It was a loose aerial and poor signal after a recent storm. Engineer added a booster and fixed the aerial. Thanks!
