The Frame 75” 2021 + Sonos Beam 2 connectivity using eARC. Will I have issues?

I read there are some compatibility issues between The Frame 2021 going into art mode/ standby mode and tripping up the Sonos Beam2 device.

I have purchased the The Frame TV and would like to get a sound bar, and the Sonos Beam 2 has been to highly recommended but I’m concerned about how they inter-operate.

Does anyone have these two paired without problems?

Yes you will 100% have issues. I naively ignored these threads and recently bought a Frame 2021. Sonos Beam worked with the TV for about a week and is now dead as useless as a brick. Sad but true

Id say they are totally incompatible. Bought the beam 2 yesterday, after resetting the beam 2 times i finally had nice surround qith my rear speakers. Woke up today and there was really no way to get sound through the Sonos. Tv started cycling  between tv and sonos speaker. Tried to use optical, but then i cant get the remote to adjust volume. Switched back to HDMI and the sonos only played static on tv channels and strange tones when in a menu.

I am beaten down by this ***** by now, on the verge returning the Sonos. I read on the sonos forum that the same issues rose when art mode and sonos did not have right timings in some way and that the solution would be not to turn off the sonos when tv is off or in art mode. I cant see how i could turn off the sonos with the remote anyway so its no way for me to get this to work

Hi,

I have a Samsung Frame 2021. Actually having issues with ps5 plugged in port 4 for consoles and a Beosound Stage 1300$ soundbar.

What a shame from that company "Samsung" not even capable to make work the number 1 console in the world on a hdmi port with a gamepad logo on it. SHAME.

What is happening is simple : you will sometime end in a "please check hdmi cable" error on screen. Ps5 is powered on. Hdmi cable is new. Xou shutdown ps5, same error. You shutdown the frame, work again. Shutdown all systems at night, at morning "please check hdmi cable" ok ok ok ok

What I discovered by myself, and not with the help of samsung support, SURELY NOT, if you disable HDCP in ps5 the issues will still happens but only if you put Art mode and then PS5 goes sleeping when this mode is on. Then, if you want to make it work again without waking up to shutdown this f****d up TV, you have to disable game mode AND HDMI extend on the port 4 on the Frame, then you get the ps5 image back.... BUT WITHOUT HDR or 120hz !!! If you enable back hdmi extend mode, BOOM "please check hdmi.....F**K YOU SAMSUNG

Then you have to reboot ps5 and TV the get back HDR on it.

SHAME SAMSUNG, SHAME !!!!!!!!

Now im trying to never put ps5 with CEC or with time in sleep mode, I shutdown it.

Then I wanted to try a Beosound Stage....lol........ LOL !!!!!!!!! 1300$ soundbar. 3000$ TV. DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME !!!!!!!!! NEVER !!!!!!!! IT DOES NOT WORK WITH eARC !!!!!!!!! Beosound Stage go to sleep every 1 minute. So will be "no sound" until you press "play" on BO app. So will the Sonos Arc. Samsung The Frame is a joke, I want to throw this sh*t out of my window !!!!!!! Only way is to disable HDMI eARC, but also disable Dolby Atmos... Even with builtin apps like Netflix or Amazon Prime. Lol. Lol. Lol.

Never Samsung again !!!!!!!!! NEVER EVER FOREVER

Samsung has in general big issues with cec arc. I have also the same connectivity issues with my Sonos. The only solution is to buy a new tv probably not a Samsung one if you want to have compatibility with Sonos
