Sound cuts out on Arc Ultra in combination with PS5 Pro

The sound from games stops every few minutes for a few seconds.


My setup:

  • Samsung The Frame TV (65 inch - 2020)
  • PS5 Pro
  • Sonos Arc Ultra + Sub + 2 x Era 300


The audio settings on my TV are set to passthrough, and on the PS5, it’s set to Dolby Atmos. I’ve also tried multiple HDMI cables, but that didn’t work either.

 

I see this issue online only with Samsung TVs for other people.


How can I fix this issue?

So I had connection issues to my PS5 and had to do the following:

Went to TV ‘All Settings’, then ‘Connection’,select ‘External Decvice Manager’ then ‘Input Signal Plus’ and turned that off. 

Ensured game mode was off. Ps5 would then be recognized. This would allow me to play the ps5 but obviously not utilizing the setting I wanted. I also had to turn off the arc detection which then doesn’t allow me to use my Sonos sound bar while using my PS5. Any solutions around this?

That’s unfortunately not possible with my TV; I think it’s too old (2020).
