Hi, hopefully this is the right area. I'm having trouble with my Smart TV (Model number is UE65NU8000, bought in March 2019 so 8 months or so old). When I'm watching Netflix or Prime or anything that requires wifi, every so often it just randomely disconnects from it and the only way to get it working again is to turn the TV off at the plug, turning it off and on with the remote doesn't fix it. All my other Wifi devices work fine and I've never had a problem with my router or anything else, it's just the tv. Has anybody else had this problem?

Then I don’t know. This solution I mentioned i came across this forum as well and it worked for me after dropping every 10 minutes. Since then no drop at all. I’m not a professor on this so I don’t know if I can help you further then what we’ve talked about already. Hope you find an answer. Good luck!

Rename the 2.4ghz or the 5ghz in your router so they become their own network. From the factory they are named the same. Samsung is having problems switching automatically between them. That’s why you rename them so you get 2 channel options in your WiFi network. Either the 2.4 or the 5ghz with their own name.

Hi Abdul

please let us know if re naming works for you.
I personally didn't do that and just had to hard wire the tv to the router.

I have had the same problem and, apparently, so do many other owners.  Strongly suggest you abandon the wi-fi and switch to another connection.  This is easy if (a) you buy a cheap Roku box.  They have excellent wi-fi built in, and you can connect it to an HDMI input and power it from your USB connection.  I have done this on two TVs very successfully.  Or (b) use a Powerline adapter such as Netgear or WD, and connect the internet from your home network to your TV using your AC wiring.  I am doing this as well and find the Samsung ethernet connection works very well.  Of course, if possible, you can (c) run ethernet directly from your router to your TV.  Bottom line, three possible work-arounds that avoid the notorious Samsung wi-fi entirely.  Hope this helps.

Good way to advertise a product.

This is not a solution to ignore an issue on a $2000 device that suppose to have WIFI built in.
