TVSurely there must be a way to disable this? If I'd known I'd be getting this I'd have brought a different brand. It's annoying me to the point where I'm serious considering getting rid. Sounds dramatic but it feels invasive.

TVHi @ChrisM
No such luck, reached out to Samsung UK via twitter and they basically said the functionality is embedded into the TV so no way to disable it.
This will probably be the last Samsung smart TV I purchase tbh if that's their attitude towards customer privacy.

TVThat's not what we like to hear, @MrShak1982. Are you able to send us a photo of your TV with the apps showing?

TVThis one is for Sky Mobile, the last one was for Galaxy S10. Could do without them tbh, just frustrating to see. I don't put my TV on to stare at adverts.

TVSame issue here, i have a visa advert in the same place. We will be selling the TV for a different brand.

TVWhat I don't get is why there has to be ads on a menu of a TV I paid lots of money for...wasn't that enough Samsung?

TVI have the same problem with my Q9F. How can I remove the ads???? That's not what I paid for...

TVThat’s enough to put me off buying a new tv

TVI have now convinced my wife that additional advertising on tv is not good so she’s looking at other tv’s

TVI'm having the same issue in Canada and will not be buying any more Samsung products unless this is resolved. I did not buy your television so that you could shove ads down my throat every time I turn it on!

TVI have the same issue even after I disabled the "3rd party ads". Guess which TV is going back to the store

TVThey'd rather have people return the TVs and take a loss instead of releasing a firmware that permanently disables the advertising. That to me is unbelievable.

TVPersonally I found that putting this ad blocking DNS server address in the TV block all the ads in the TV completely just going to your network settings and adjust your DNS settings and put in this IP address like the previous post mentioned.
176.103.130.130
Put that DNS address in your TV and reboot your TV and the ads will be gone when a couple minutes they will be gone. Works fine for me.

TVThis is BS I will return my TV and get another manufacturer. I am paying for product where Samsung can pipe in advertising into my home. Wtf

TVIf you've still got the opportunity to return it, do it!!!

TVYeh, it's a pretty terrible thing for Samsung to do, spend a boatload on the new Frame and Adverts? What a stupid thing to do, there are ways to stop them using DNS, but why should I have to? Last time I buy a Samsung product.

TVYeah same *****ty problem in Denmark. Last Samsung product I ever bought if that's a thing now... I payed for my TV fair and square... We get attacked from companies no matter where the ***** we are or what we do. If you wanna implement ads on your tv software then hand out your TVs for free and let them sponsor our TV's.. If I payed for it... Then REMOVE THAT *****!!!! PERIOD!!!!!

TVIt's so frustrating!

TVIt is indeed frustrating.. And as you can see, I don't think you're being anywhere near what I think is dramatic. That would be like taking your TV outside, set it on fire with live recordings and then post it on their facebook 😄 This is just telling them to stop invading our privacy when we actually payed for their product!
