Hi just got this TV but can't get full screen on some films. Big black line across top & bottom of screen. Can't adjust by settings as options greyed out. Used to be able to adjust to full screen on old Samsung. Read manual and it says some options not available if external sources connected. We have sky box and DVD player so I guess that's why! Have I understood this correctly? Is there anyway round it other than only streaming? Thanks for your help.

HI @BP2903  This is to do with the Aspect Ratio,  many modern films are made in  ratios of 1.33:1, 1.78:1, 2.35:1.   Tv set tend to be 16:9.

Zooming in to remove them is only possible  with HDMI connections via an external device, however there will be a trade off in terms of quality.   Therefore cannot do this on the Tv apps.

Thank you. Managed to do it with zoom but does look odd. Guess will just have to get used to it.
