Hi There hope you can help. I am trying to set up my TV to the wireless network but when I go to settings wireless direct is not highlighted and it doesn't give me the option to connect. The wireless internet box is too far from the tv to connect via a wire. Is it possible to update the software to obtain wirelsss connection. Appreciate your help in this matter many thanks,

Hi @cv6 Are you not able to connect to your Wireless Network via a scan? Can you check you have the latest firmware , there was an update in May last year and the latest firmware is 2010.0. If you do not have this I would suggest to download the file to USB and update that way. See details here https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/model/UE40ES6300UXXU/
If this is not the issue ideas are trying a factory reset , holding power button in for 5 seconds to reset or switching off Tv for a minute and rebooting router. Another idea is to change the DNS settings. Go to Network-Network Settings-DNS Settings. Change from Automatic to to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4.
However some customers experienced wifi issues on this Tv which is a 2012 model and instances of the wifi card needing replacement. See more on this thread https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/tv/samsung-ue40es6300-tv-will-not-find-or-connect-to-wireless/td...
