I run Plex Server on my Synology NAS with the Plex media app on my QN95C and it works great. All tvs in the house have the Plex media player and can play films etc. As for 4K sorry I just dont know, all I can say is the quality it great. I also use the TV to connect DNLA with my humax in another room and it plays recordings, but again these won't be 4K. But doesn't it upscale, the picture quality seems very good. Sorry I'm not a video techy.
