Like many others on this community site, purchased a £400 Samsung TV 27 months ago - the power fault - TV turning itself off then on again continuously is now a feature (common issue by the looks of it). Spent over 2 hours on Samsung Chat with what appears to be the same teflon responses others have had - quality is good, quality is checked, no known issues, outside of warranty period, Consumer Rights Act doesn't apply to us because you bought it elsewhere etc. This is the second (and LAST) Samsung TV in our household that has developed the same fault - but clearly no quality issues....... If no quality issues exist I can only assume that this is a design specification for the product. As others have commented - Samsung need to take a long hard look at their customer service - and hopefully as others have referenced, consumers vote with their feet.....

Presumably Samsung sugested Troubleshooting to no avail, a few suggestions here Are you getting a standby light at all, if no red light present that does indicate a fault. can check troubleshooting with various lights here https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01001086/#tv-s-red-standby-light-is-off
Another possible fix though is to hold the Power Button on the Remote for 30 seconds till it hopefully Reboots, unplug from mains for 1 minute and try again. If no joy an idea to see if a flash reset will work:
Under the Samsung logo on the TV you have a small black button about 2-3cm in from the bottom edge. With the tv turned on
1. press the button at the logo for 5-10 seconds
2. Release the button
3. press the Power button on the TV Remote for 5-10 seconds. Tv goes black and then restarts after a while.
with regards to consumer right Act first port of call is with the retailer you purchased from, after six month though the onus is more on the consumer to prove a known fault. https://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/regulation/consumer-rights-act-
the average life of a smart tv is around 7 years, unfortunately some sets develop problems well before then and this is not unique to Samsung.

Hi Gurky, purchased from Amazon, advertised with 5 year warranty but Samsung have stated that Amazon are excluded from their 5 year warranty.

Thanks James5678 - tried all the troubleshooting solutions - none worked - Samsung clearly have a faulty batch of tv's they just don't want to acknowledge - simple solution for me is to never buy Samsung again - and share my two experiences with all those I know.
