Samsung HG55EE690 Hospitality TV - Reset Password (not pin)

Hi,

I have bought second hand from a bankrupt sale a Samsung HG55EE690 Hospitality TV.

It's stuck in hotel mode with some features disabled.

I'm trying to find out how one can reset the password (8 digit)

The default 00000000 doesn't work.

I've tried all combinations of mute, 1,8,4 etc but it just takes me to the Enter Password prompt.

Does anyone know a way to reset it ? or reset the whole TV to factory ? maybe a jumper on the board ?

Google is probably your best bet for a solution or try and find the manual for the tv the code maybe wrote in it.

@AdamUK77  Have you tried  1234, 1111, 7777 or 9999.      it may be possible to use Mute – 1 – 1 – 9 – Enter on the Remote  (hidden menu)   to change desired settings (if works be careful here though).

its a hospitality TV, so the password is 8 chars long !

The manual states the default password is 00000000

unfortunately this doesn't work!

i can get into the start-up menus, but it asks for the password, and i cannot get passed that !

Surely there must be a way to reset it ?
