Samsung Frame Art mode NOT working properly with Apple TV 4K

Good Afternoon,
For my streaming and digital purchases, I use the Apple TV 4K

I have been able to disable all the Smart Features. We only have the one input of the Apple TV 4K on HDMI one and have our Surround system working on HDMI 3 for sound only.

We want to continue using the Apple TV remote because of Siri. (Unless there is a way to use Siri on the Samsung One)

However when we set the Apple TV to Sleep with the Apple Remote. It goes completely off (not into Art mode) However if we use Samsung Remote (without Siri) it goes into Art Mode.

Is there a configuration change I can make on either device to make ART mode kick in when I put the Apple TV to sleep?

Kind Regards

Bory

I think I have worked it out. I have Apple TV 4K 2021 and the The Frame 2020 version 1374

My settings are; on the Samsung Frame > Settings > General > External Device Manager > Anytime+ (HDMI-CEC) > untick

Settings > General > Smart Features > Autorun Smart Hub > untick

On the Apple TV 4K

Settings > General > Remotes and Devices > Home Cinema Control > Turn On Your TV with Your Remote > ON

Then just hold the power button on your Apple remote and it should power off your Apple TV and start Art Mode.

Hope this works for you.

@James: is your Apple TV model the one with the new Siri remote (i.e. with the dedicated power button)?

On top of art mode, can you also turn the tv entirely off with these settings?

I purchased the new Siri Remote, did as James advised, and it works like a charm!

I want to turn off everything completely, and not go in to Art mode.

When I turn off my Apple TV 4K (with the new remote), the Tv goes to Art mode. Is there a way to avoid this and completely shut everything off?

I have not managed to find a settings for this, it would have been such a simple fix to be able to choose what pressing the power button does.
Even with the Samsung remote, my kids struggle to grasp the idea of longpressing to completely shut the tv off.

Thanks James. I have these exact settings but when I turn off the ATV the Samsung doesn’t go into art mode but simply says HDMI source not found (no signal). Did you experience this?

I have the exact same situation happening. Did you figure it out?

To be honest it just appeared to work one day. I have updated to the new Apple Remote that allows you to hold the standbye button.

However occasionally it won’t wake back up from art mode and I use the Samsung Remote just to wake it up.

I’m having this problem on my 2019 frame. It turns completely off instead of to art mode. So frustrating!

Thank you SO much, I have been looking for a solution to this for years. I had to turn my tv off by holding power on the Samsung remote to get it to work after applying these settings but I am so happy its working. I can get rid of homebridge now!

Did you ever figure this out?

I just got the Samsung Frame TV and also an AppleTV 4K.  With my old Samsung TV, I could press the power button on the AppleTV remote and everything would power off completely.

On the Samsung Frame TV, when I press power on my AppleTV remote, the AppleTV powers off but my Frame TV goes into Art Mode.  I really want it to turn the TV off entirely.

Any ideas?
