hey forum.
i have a SAMSUNG QE55Q7FN qled tv and also some nice problems with it. so first of all, i didnt use this tv much since i bought it 3 years ago. i got it at reduced price, because new models were coming in. that was in Germany. at the beginning i didnt notice it as much, but the more i checked it here and there, the more i saw it. i want to add also that im not a know-it-all, but i know my way around electronics, many problems or settings i find myself. but this i just cannot. so basically the problem is with tv picture. no matter the source, 4k, fullhd, hdd media, ps4pro, youtube, 8bit, 10bit, netflix, pc, whatever, the picture looks awful. i tried all sources, different hdmi cables, all hdmi inputs, have latest firmware, reseted tv many times, left it unplugged for 2, 3 months when i was away for work and so on..
ill add some pictures and a video i uploaded, but it doesnt show enough, its alot worse, so ill try to describe it also. so everything else works fine, functions, remote, sound, UI is flawless. the picture has the problems as in, it looks posterized. it looks like everything is wrapped in a grey foil. there is no depth in blacks. like it has problems showing detail in grey, black areas. like water, with black spots, shadows. this is mostly in black scenes, dark scenes. for example: dark clothes look awful, like its cartooney, or hair, or dark sunglasses, dark colored cars, especially black, i can see no detail, and sometimes a lot of grain, sometimes pixelated, very bad gradient. if a whole picture is bright, it looks nice, very bright, colors are nice no motion problems. but as soon as the scene has some darker color gradient, shadows, light blacks, its no detail, looks out of place and color banding is present so on. like it can show 0 grey, and 10 black, but nothing in between, no step levels. no matter what settings i try, what picture mode, turning off or minimized all settings like dimming, enhancers, clean view, motion settings doesnt help. ghosting is also present in dark scenes. i just want to know if i truly missed something, or its a bad chipset, or panel, cable, hub idk.. as in software, or hardware failure. because its unwatchable in this state.
pictures and videos are from HDD, movies in 4K and 1080p source, tried to make best take..

I'm guessing you already reset your TV's picture settings? Does you Gamma automatically set to ST.2084? Have you ever changed any settings in the special hidden Diagnostic mode?

Yes, I reset TV, picture settings to factory settings, multiple times, reset the hub.. I heard about the service menu, but never accessed it, not to make anything worse, since its not advised.
Most of the time, gamma settings are greyed out, depending on the source, but when its available, i tried it yes, and didnt help, HLG, ST or BT options..
