Obviously Technology has advanced so much over the years,specifically this article look at Sansung's Quantum Dot Technology over the past Decade and looks at developments from SUHD to QLED which became the new standard for premium TV's. More recently prominence has been given to Neo QLED where the panels take advantage of Quantum Matrix Technology and have thousands of lightning zones which results in sharper contrasts and more accurate /vivid colours.
Most people dont know what they want from a tv so expectations are so high as if the picture is going to be like watching real life and when its not they complain rather than appreciating the advancements. May be thats just from someone growing up when a 26" tv took two people to move
