My TV has a S60 soundbar connected via HDMI. The TV used to show TV speaker and soundbar has operating when changing volume. After a recent update when adjusting the the volume it shows “Q-Symphony”. My problem is since this update the television often only plays sound via the TV speakers. It shows the soundbar but when you try and sync it says no device connected. You can work round this by changing the connection options and returning to HDMI and it then works. But when you switch the TV off and on again it only plays sound through the TV. This is so frustrating as for two years it’s worked perfectly but this problem has only occurred since the name change to Q-Symphony from “soundbar”. Can anyone help?

Have a similar issue, but with the Q700c and the S93D OLed. When using Q-Symphony the sound is fine, but the tv- remote (not the soundbars) won`t work at all. Only when switchen to hdmiarc connection in the sound section, the remote works - however then most likely without the tv-speakers..., cause of course its not Q-Symphony activated...

Update: while yesterday the remote wouldn`t work with that Q-Symphony setting, it does work today for some reason, no idea why.
My remaining issue is now though, that one cannot change the various frequencies in the equalizer section of the tv. Have already changed basics via the samsung things app in the soundbar, but thats only bass and highs - not the frequencies.
to my taste the soundbar is missing dephts in the midrange tones, which leads to somewhat poor audio quality in speech during movies.

found a way to change the equalizer, which is not satisfying though. Only in Standard mode (not surround, not voice, and certainly NOT Q-Symphony enabled!) one can change all the frequencies.
Seriously, why did we buy those Q-Symphony soundbars, if not even frequencies can be changed?! I understand for a Voice-Mode, but for the Q-Symphony mode, when the basic settings are not full and satisfying one ought to be able to change those.
For now I have switched to STandard, not getting the benefits of the inbuilt speakers of the TV, and changed all frequencies up to 800 MHZ to + 3. Sound is great now, but again, these awkward restrictions from Samsung are annoying.
Also, when trying to change something in preferences and the picture is set to anything else but Samsung standard ones, the warning pops up with the need to agree to those "energy using modes" again. Then it goes back to the program and one has again to go manually to the settings to be able to finally change those tone pref. or something else. Its just a pain in the butt, what Samsung is doing with their customers.
