Recording onto an external drive UE50RO7100KXXU

Can I get any advice on how yo record to my Smsrt TV UE60RU7100K. Cant seem to sort this out!

Hi Carl. Thanks for picking this up. It's an integral 8gb flash drive. 

I also have a Toshiba 1 terb external hard drive.

Plugged both in but neither seems to work

Thanks for confirming. Can you tell me the software version you're running too? This can be found by pressing Settings/ Menu on your remote and going to Support > About TV.

Hi guys, 

I can confirm that the UE50RU7100KXXU doesn't support PVR - hence why neither of the drives are working. From that model's product webpage specs:

Apparently, for R-series TVs PVR capability starts from RU7400 upwards.
