Q80D 50" TV for my elderly mother

I have bought a Q80D 50" TV for my elderly mother. I am going to set it up for her tonight.

My question is, she generally has her TV on the same freesat channel for most of the day (one of the news channels I think).

Is there a way to get the TV to load the same channel when she first switches on the set?

Would make my like a hell of a lot easier 🙂

Head to Settings > General > Smart Features > Autorun last app > On, as this will default to the last app that was being used when the set is turned on. TV channel = app. So if you leave it on the channel when turned off, it will stay on that channel for next power on.

@Grumpa2112: If she places the TV on standby when its not in use, then it will default to the source that was selected at the time when she powers it back on. This should mean that her freesat channel will be displayed - the Home menu will be visible initially, but will disappear automatically after a short time.

Thanks, mum is 89 and the tv is replacing one that must be nearly 30 years old. You can see my problem 😉
