Hi all,
I have tried various settings on the PS5, such as RGB full, limited and HDR off.
On my TV, I have the latest firmware (the one that fixed the 6 minute dimming issue).
Game Mode is on, Input Signal Plus is on.
The brightness is overblown and the general colour is too bright and lacking contrast and depth with HDR on.
Without HDR:

With HDR:

(Don't mind the file names that's just my phone)
HDR works perfect on PS4 and UHD Blurays but seems off here with PS5.
Any suggestions?

I don't know about the video options in the Xbox because I have a PS5 but you might try to disable VRR (which is currently supported on the Xbox) and change the options related to HDR and the bandwidth of the HDMI signal.
On PS5 there is workaround of basically changing color space from auto (RGB) to YUV420 and then to Auto(RGB) again.
Otherwise you might try to connect the console to a HDMI2.0 port although you're going to lose the VRR and 120Hz functionalities.
I wonder if there are mods around here that can help to let Samsung notice about these issues.
This is the second big firmware issue with this TV line after the local dimming bug....I understand that 2020 has been a rough year for everyone but we should at least know if Samsung knows and is taking care of this stuff.

Hey guys, maybe I solved my issue disabling in the Xbox settings AUTO HDR, now when the TV switch to game mode there is yes a loss of image quality but it's minimal. Please note my problem was the same as the one you have but with a different NG console, hope this can help.

Guys just wanted to inform you that Samsung has just released a new firmware update, version 1460.9 and based on my early tests it fixes this problem! Now with the console connected to the HDMI2.1 port (HDMI4) and using game mode, HDR has no longer washed out colors and you don't need to do the auto->-2->auto trick to make it work properly.
You can download the new firmware in your regional Samsung support page and install it through a USB pendrive.

It seems to be fixed! And now i even feel the colours are brighter and more colorful.

I've installed the firmware version 1460 from the TV software update (Q82T), I'm using game mode and HDMI4 but I still have same problem of washed out colors on HDR, especially black is not dark but grey. Tried also the trick of setting auto->-2->auto and still not solve the issue. This is so weird.

Check if you have the hdmi black level on auto on the console and the tv.

Yes I have both on auto but I still seeing washed out HDR (especially on Assassin's creed valhalla)

I use gamemotion plus and led clear motion and hgig, there is a little ghosting but the HDR is great then in Valhalla.

What I've found is ever since turning game mode to auto, then turning the PS5's HDR settings from auto to - 2 and then back to auto, HDR displays correctly. Spiderman remastered looks beautiful.
The key to doing it correctly was setting game mode to auto on the TV.
Now the HDR is popping, as people say on other forums.
