So basically the title says most of it.
2021 NeoQLed (QE65)
Watching TV and a loud bang and TV is dead.
Changed fuse in plug and try on a different but known working power outlet, another bang (not as loud) and tv still won’t power on.
So this suggests something has blown within the OneConnect box and manufacturers warrant is shown to have expired in June 2022
I have raised a repair via Samsung for a call out, but does anyone know if it’s just going to be cheaper to buy a new OneConnect box?
Some suggestions would be appreciated as can see OCB’s seem to be around £200 and if callout is going to be more than this then logic would be to just buy the OCB and plug it in

Is it possible to buy just a new OneConnect box? I have 2014 3D 55" curved model since 2014 and have had to have a new box or motherboard installed a couple of times. I had bought extended repair contracts so it cost me nothing. But a year ago the fan blew and I hadn't renewed my repair contract so I've been using my Freestyle projector. But if I can just buy a new OneConnect box that would be great! Does Samsung sell OneConnect boxes separately? I of course would need the the same one with 3D. Where can I buy one? Thanks.

I also want to buy a new oneconnect box because the fan went out a year ago and I don't have a repair contract. I just talked to Samsung on the phone. They said that a oneconnect box can only be repaired. Also said that any oneconnect box you buy yourself probably won't work/work correctly or completely. Because each box is made for a specific screen (the precise one that came with your oneconnect box). If you buy a box yourself there is no guarantee that it will work. You can't buy one directly from Samsung.
