Game Mode always on with VRR enabled on XSX (Q80T)

Hey everyone - new consoles out - new issues to work out, right?

Anyways, the issue I'm having on my Q80T right now is that in the video mode settings on the Xbox Series X (and the XBOX One X) if I enable VRR the Q80T will always keep 'Game Mode' on if the setting is set to auto.

If I turn VRR off the TV will operate normally - turning on game mode when a game is being played, turning off game mode when using Netflix, Hulu, or browsing the system UI, etc...

Would love to have VRR enabled all the time, but this 'bug' makes it a bit troublesome.
