Hello everyone, I cannot find the setting to disable the on screen volume display on my Q80T. Is there a hidden setting somewhere? If not, can we get the option added by Samsung?
Thank you!

Just got a new Q70 and I cannot believe Samsung thought we needed to see that when changing volume. WHY???? Hopefully a disable display option is coming.

Just discovered this with my new QN90A. Agree that Samsung should fix this!

Okay - this is a rant. But Samsung really ticked me off. So I called in regarding this ridiculous volume box. I was told "it's a feature". Yeah right. Then in an effort to do an up-date, I followed their instructions for downloading and using a USB stick to load the new software. And that didn't work - took a wild guess that they didn't bother to tell the many Mac users in the world that the stick had to be formatted PC style (Fat32). Which I did and it worked. But really, that's not worth mentioning in your instructions??? WTF? The update didn't have any impact on anything I was concerned about. I ended up returning the TV - spent more money on an OLED L3 - a C1. I am thrilled!!!

And to make it worse, the volume is displayed on the soundbar itself.
Why display it on the TV?

OP here. This is still an annoyance. Maybe I'll ping Samsung support on Twitter and reference this thread. Stay tuned!

They could at least give us an option as to what size we want it to be. Right now, with it covering half the screen, it just ruins the experience

Please fix this Samsung or give us the option to turn it off. With many shows recorded at different volumes we need to be able to change the volume when using an external sound bar, without the picture being obscured by a huge unnecessary graphic. Please, please fix.
