Old Playstation connection problem

Hello all,

I want to connect my original, oldschool Playstation 1 to my Samsung 55KU7000 TV, but I'm having problems.

First I tried connecting through antenna cable port. I had audio and video but the colors were all garbled (I saw a green Crash Bandicoot). I suspect the cable may be faulty.

Then I tried the s-video cable (yellow, red, white cables). This time the video was black and white.

What could be the problem? How can I solve this?

I've always had problems running older consoles on a modern TV when using stock RF or composite cables, @ElwoodBlues. If you can, try a SCART cable or Component (though this may require the PS1 to be modded if it supports it at all, I'm not sure).

I would try SCART but there is no SCART-in at the back of the TV
