My new TV (QE75Q60RATXXU) will not play the audio for a mkv file I have, this issue is weird as my old TV (ue55mu6100) works perfectly fine.
I don't understand how an old tv has better support than my new one?
Is there a way around this so I can watch an MKV file?

Hi @Oskar3 ,
It may be that the .mkv file has DTS audio - which isn't supported in the newer model. Any trouble with other video files?

Time to switch away from Samsung tv's. The codec media support is shockingly *****.
i don't know why they're eliminating support... cost cutting I expect, but I won't be buying another Samsung, and I'm now recommending everyone away from Samsung to LG tv's.
I liken this idea from Samsung to blockbusters decision to not stream media online, blockbusters who?!

My 2010 and 2015 Samsung TVs and 2015 Samsung blueray player play MKV DTS files fine but my 2019 Samsung Q80T will not handle the DTS audio, so I also regret my purchase unless Samsung adds support via a firmware upgrade. If not, I will stop buying Samsung.
