KS8000 has lost ITV channels

Our KS8000 has lost all its ITV channels. All other freesat channels are fine, and ITV channels are scanned into the KS8000, and appear on the guide. But when I select any ITV channel I get a “NO SIGNAL” message and am advised to perform another channel scan.

Any ideas?

Many thanks for your reply… I will check, but I don’t think it can be the cabling or dish, because all the other channels apart from ITV are fine and the TV scans all the channels and saves them without a problem.

Some don't show up if the signal strength isn't high enough. I thought the same, but BBC etc. aren't too fussy about it. Can you see signal strength?

Hi, I’ve just checked the signal strength and some channels have no signal strength at all. I’m guessing these are the ITV ones, but it’s difficult to tell as the Channel name isn’t displayed.

It may be an issue with the aerial, cam try some other Troubleshooting though.

Check if there are any problems with Freeview in your area https://www.bbc.co.uk/reception/problems-freeview-reception/#/Freeview other options are to try the Automatic scan again. Some customers have found that scanning after removing the aerial and then reinserting provides a solution when channels are missing and your manual tune may not be accessible. In other words scan with the aerial removed when obviously no channels will be found, however this can reset the connection. You would then need to scan with the aerial connected again and see if this makes a difference.

However there is the possibility that there is some issue with the aerial. sometimes people need a Booster. .See some more information here https://www.freeview.co.uk/help/reception-picture-and-channels-troubleshooting-guide

Thanks for this! Certainly worth a try. It’s a Freesat TV rather than Freeview but I’m sure it will work the same way. I’ve checked and there aren’t any reports about ITV issues

Hi All, no luck with scanning with the dish disconnected. I have tried autoscanning the channels again but still no luck getting ITV back. So I guess that means there’s an issue with the dish. I’ll contact a local repair service. Thanks to all who posted suggestions… much appreciated
