Have you looked at the TV channels. As you might have scroll through a few to find your dvd.

As I use cable ... everything goes thorough the hdmi 1
But ther again I have a cable box, surround sound and TV. Trial and error setting things up.

HI @steve754  you do not mention the Dvd Player. Is this the first time setting the DVD up,  whilst should not be issue if cable new can you possibly try another one.  Unlikely to be port issue if you have tried them all. You may need to check if Input Signal Plus is selected for  the port.

could  try Factory Resetting by pressing the stop Button for more than 5 seconds and if still issue disconnect the  DVD player (including cables)and power off the Tv for around a minute before reconnecting.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

I have a Samsung Blu-ray player and it worked last week, but this week is does not work.  I have tried different TV/monitors, and different HDMI cables.  The Bluray loads the machine and spins, but nothing is displayed on the monitor/TV.  The TV does not recognize the player.  To me, the bluray player is reading but not sending a signal to the HDMI port.

Actually, I did see a No Input displayed on the monitor.  I receive a "No Cable" if I unplug the cable, but those are likely from the monitor and not the player.  The Player spins and likely reads, but no display/output.
