Samsung QE55Q7F (2017) – Restart loop issue even with replacement One Connect box

Hi everyone,

I have a Samsung QE55Q7F QLED TV (2017 model) that keeps going into a loop:

  • The TV powers on → black screen → turns off → powers on again, continuously.

  • When I disconnect the One Connect box, the TV’s backlight comes on and stays on, but of course there’s no picture.

  • With the One Connect box connected, the TV just restarts over and over.

To rule out the box, I bought another One Connect box of the exact same model (SOC1000M). Unfortunately, the problem remains exactly the same.

Has anyone experienced this before? Could this mean the issue is inside the TV panel itself (main board, power board, or backlight)? Or is there something else I can still try before giving up?

Yes it could well be other factors and hardware related.  check connections are secure,if by any chance using a surge protector plug directly into mains.  Sometimes Boot loop issues can be caused by outdated software though, check you have the latest update from 2024  which is 1401.1.    can be uploaded to USB if this is not available over the air https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/model/QE55Q7FAMTXXU/

if have this or not the issue could try a soft Remote of the Tv  by pressing and holding the Power Button on a the smart Remote for around 5 seconds until the Tv Reboots, if that does not work disconnect all cables and Tv from the mains for around 5 minutes before connecting again.   some other information here https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/tv-audio-video/my-tv-wont-turn-on/

However if there is no resolution it is  unlikely that a repair on a 2017 model would be viable ,at times the parts are unavailable for older models.
