I have a brand new TV The Frame 2024 and I'm encountering a strange problem with the HDMI CEC capability.
I'm getting TV channels from my internet box and to make things simpler I just use the box remote control to switch on and off both devices (TV and box) at the same time. With my previous TV (a sony Bravia), I was able to do it easily thanks to the HDMI CEC capability.
I connected my new The Frame to the internet box with the same HDMI cable. The HDMI CEC (or equivalent) is activated by default on The Frame and it does receive the CEC signal but the behavior is erratic. Sometime, when I switch on on the box, it switches on the TV properly, but sometime it doesn't. Likewise, when I switch off the box, it sometime switch off the TV, but sometime it doesn't. It seems completely random.
I will add that I already checked that the HDMI cable was properly plugged on both sides and I already tried to replace it by a brand new one. The result is the same: the HDMI CEC is working erratically.
I don't know what to try anymore. Am I missing something? Did anyone encounter this problem before?
