Purchased a Samsung Q90T 75” specifically for gaming. At random intervals the tv randomly flickers black and turns game mode off then on. I’ve tried a whole host of setting changes to see if I can work around the issue but no luck so far. HDMI 2.1 cable is brand new so this is not to blame. This appears to be a software fault dating back to 2019 so why is it not fixed? Any help appreciated. Technician is booked to try ‘repair’ this fault, but failing that il be returning for a refund and jump ship to the LG CX

Just to clarify, was the software update on the tv or PS5? Was this released? Thanks

I’m getting this issue on a brand new QN95a - seems like a PlayStation issue to me, as my Series X is fine and I don’t get the drop outs on any of the TV apps

so when I spoke to Samsung they said it’s an update that will specifically fix the PS5 issue.
My work around was to go into the PS5 setting and under the graphics/display options try flick between -1 and -2 and see which one works

Believe it when I see it. Had Samsung try and help like this was all new to them and Sony ignored the ***** out of me. I messaged them daily on twitter for a month and commented showing them not responding to me or this issue.

The worst part is not only is this an issue with my PS5 but also my graphics card after tracking down a Nvidia forum where Samsung tv's are causing all sorts of issues if connected to a pc as well. I wont be buying a Samsung again after all this

I have exactly the same problem , i have a brand new Samsung qe55qn95a and have the same problem , i run it in game mode with PS5 and every now and then Black screen , does not matter if cut screen or not. This is my second unit as the the ports on the One connect are not wonderful in my view specifically the coax , they provide me a new unit and started getting these problems.

I'm having the exact same issue with my 85QN95A and it's driving me crazy...
I had the Samsung support update the HDMI firmware through remote assistance but it did not change a thing.
I also had the issue with my PS4 pro, just before buying the PS5.
I'll try changing the transfer rate but I find it really infuriating now that I know that the issue has been sitting here for months for other TV owners.
Edit: forgot to mention that I did not have the issue before with my PS4 pro plugged to my previous TV or to my computer monitor.

Putting -1 for 4K Video Transfer Rate worked for me, the issue did not appear again for now.
Still, I hope it will be properly fixed some day instead of using this workaround.

Yep crazy that we go spend all this money on a high end tv then have issues connecting a high end console. Pretty ridiculous they couldn’t get it right
