Hi all,

below are the bugs and/or anomalies I've found with this new firmware version compared to the previous (1520.7).
Feel free to add other problems you have encountered or post information/details useful to the discussion.

Thanks to @JAMES4578  here you can see the release notes for your TV's model: Tv Firmware ChangeLogs
Hoping Samsung will quickly fix them in the next version...

1) EPG slow down: the TV guide (EPG: Electronic Program Guide), which was previously opening very fast in 1430.1, now every time it's launched it shows the screen ("Loading....please wait") for about 2-3 seconds before it opens....very annoying indeed.

2) Wrong or missing TV channel logos: additional problem on the EPG guide (but it also occurred in previous versions) is still: the EPG guide does not show all the logos of the TV stations, furthermore in many cases the logos shown refer to other channels (see highlights in the figure).

I've already tried a rescan and factory reset (several times) but the result does not change. Please note: compared to version 1520.7 the situation has improved but there are still a lot of channels without logos or with wrong logos.

3) Some (uninstallable) applications will not uninstall: some applications are not uninstalled (e.g., Twitch, N, Knox) despite the fact that it is possible and that the DELETE option is displayed and selectable. Each time the TV is restarted these reappear in the list of installed applications.

4)  Audio/Video disynchronization in HDMI-eARC with Samsung soundbar and SONOS beam:  switching between channels using the EPG or after  a while of use and changing channels several times, the soundbar (Samsung HW-H450) audio goes out of sync. Instead, Sonos beam loses synchronism after going into stand-by mode.
To restore proper audio/video synchronicity requires turning the TV off and on again.  Even using MUTE on and MUTE off resumes synchronisation between audio and video

Hi Tobias,

Agreed, it is absolutely ridiculous… the work around I am currently using seems to work surprisingly well:

- Buy a smart plug with some kind of routine / schedule functionality (I have a TP-link one)

- Set the plug to turn off / on once a day, ideally at a time you won’t usually be using the tv, but just before you will be. E.g mine reboots at 4pm every day, I get home from work around 6pm and it’s fine all evening.

- If the issue does happen again, you can remotely power cycle it from the app.

- Alternatively, you can use the Sonos-supplied optical to HDMI adapter, except you lose Dolby Atmos..

Samsung have been completely bloody useless fixing this issue.

I spent some time troubleshooting the issue with Sonos and sending diagnostics, which ended with the following:

Thanks for following up with me.

I have shared all the required information with the dev team, and from here, they will take a closer look at the issue. At this point, we are investigating this and do not currently have an ETA.’

Although I am 99.9% sure it’s a Samsung issue.

Cheers,

Toby.

Hello, I was able to fix the Beam Gen 2 connection issue by turning off eARC in the settings of my Samsung TV. Since most content I watch isn’t Atmos anyways, this seems to be good a temporary fix while I wait for Samsung to solve there firmware disaster.

I started having issue with Samsung Remote Control. The connection via Bluetooth is not working anymore. When I was trying to pair it again, it's not working. It says: Lack of device...

Soundbar Q930B is still not synchronised while using Q-Symphony. I wish I didn't buy this TV...

I noticed also slowing down of the UI... It's unacceptable for me that they did software update without my consent!!!!! I had auto-update turned off...

I'm asking myself what is the point of these Samsung's updates. With every update the TV is getting worse and worse. Are there some advantages in this update? Is there some official changelog? Samsung is propably trying to slowly destroy our TVs to buy new model.. and we propably will but not Samsung anymore. The worst sound input/output hardware/software I ever had. Updates are actually downgrades that slows TV and only  brings new problems. It's pity, because I really liked the TV's picture quality
