FOR INFO ONLY ******
For those people that have a Humax device connected to a fairly modern Samsung TV, I recently updated my QE75Q80C to firmware version 2013 on 7th November.
After the update, I could no longer watch or play through my Humax Freeview recorder FVP 4K GTR. I got a message “The programme cannot be viewed via HDMI connection because your TV does not support digital content protection (HDCP)”
This message is incorrect and I think is actually a problem with the Humax, not the TV. I suspect the HDCP version was changed on the update and the Humax couldn’t cope. I powered the Humax off for five minutes, forced it to restart and the Samsung set it up as a new HDMI device, which I had to rename and position on my home screen. I no longer got the error message.

I have exactly the same issue with my Humax as well.

I had to plug the Humax into a different HDMI socket to force the TV into setting it up as a new device. After I did that, it worked fine.
