Fire Stick Turns TV on and off incessantly

I have a ten year old Samsung 63” TV.  Fire Stick worked great for about a year; but today, it inexplicably turns my Samsung on and off...all controls are useless.  I can’t reset the Fire Stick other than unplug it a while, but makes no difference.  I tried it in another Samsung and it did the same thing!

Have you tried contacting your Firestick provider regarding this?

which version firestick.
it may be the power button to firestick remote thats stuck. take out the batteries see if that helps.
you can download a firestick remote to your phone from app store.
Hopefully this is some help to you.

Yes I did.  They are sending me another FS.  But I keep the same remote (which might be the problem).

New batteries allowed me to reset the FS; and that worked.  See my other replies for longer story.
