I couldn't find any information about whether or not supports 5ghz but would be surprised if it didn't. The only way I can think of for forcing a connection is to go into your router settings and assign separate SSIDs to 2.4 and 5ghz, then hopefully the TV will see both so you can make your selection. Also, remember, 5ghz does not have the range like 2.4ghz.
