Can’t upload photos to The Frame

I had photos on The Frame, I’d even figured out how to get rid of the borders. Then I accidentally reset the TV and now I can’t upload any of my pictures. Nothing has changed. It tells me that the TV and my iPad need to be on the same local network, which they still are. If I get past that I get an upload failure message. Have been trying on and off for a few days now. I’ve seen a few people have this problem but no satisfactory answer. Help!

Yep, works for me too again. As far as I can see no update on the phone.

I have the same problem, repeatedly, and continuously. I really loved the TV when we first had it but it now sits on the wall and functions as just another standard wall mounted TV. Despite numerous attempts at resolving connectivity issues (and occasionally managing to get a connection) the next time I go to up load something the whole problem starts again. I am totally bored with it all now and unless I get some form of resolution to the issues my faith in Samsung as a quality brand will be blown. I have tried the help 'call-back' function to no avail, once past the first few weeks no-one from the technical help team seems to consider it important to actually deal with customers problems. All I want is for the Frame TV to actually provide the functionality that I paid a massive premium price to have. ...If anyone reads these messages....NOT IMPRESSED, SAMSUNG

Hi, thanks, I tried but still no luck. I've done the off and on trick, rebooted, restarted, etc. With a great deal of patience I can eventually get the Art Mode function but when I try to upload a photo I get a 'network or server error has occurred'. Has anyone found a fix? I will never ever buy anything from Samsung again.

Is there nobody from samsung listening here? Do we need to start a #samsungsucks twitter campaign for this to be addressed?

This has been an issue for years now. It dates back to the days when SmartView was the got to app for The Frame and ***** meant happy. To make matters worse, there are settings für Art Mode, that are only accessible via SmartThings. In other words, if you can't upload photos from SmartThings, you can't change settings through SmartThings or better: you cant changes Art Mode settings period. This is outrageous.

A managed to "solve" the problem by creating a personal hotspot on my iPhone and logging on to that hotspot with The Frame and another android phone. Then I was able to upload images and more importantly access the Art Mode settings with my android phone. These are only accessible through the app on 2017 Models. This was a pain to figure out but it may be a last resort for some of you.

Putting your phone in airplane mode and leaving wifi on fixed it for me.

I was having the same issue and it turned out that my iPhone (or "Device" as the TV refers to it), was not allowed to connect.  Here is how I resolved the issue.  On the TV:
1) Settings and select "General"
2) Select "External Device Manager"
3) Select "Device Connect Manager"
4) Select "Device List"
5) Select your phone from the Device List (If it is listed as "Deny" then this is your problem.
6) Once you click on your phone Device it will allow you to change from "Deny" to "Allow"

This fixed the problem for me.  Hope it helps someone else.

I have the same problem with an iphone 11.  Uploading pictures to the Frame is a lot more tedious with this feature not working.
