This just started yesterday. (QLED 65", one month out of 5 yr warranty) If I select source I can't move very far to the right. I figured out that it is the Smartthings source that is causing the problem and by a lot of fiddling by adding another source, moving it right, then picking up one I wanted and moving it left I could get it to the left of Smartthings and get access again. So I've now moved all my required sources to the left of Smartthings.
What happens is that that when I get to the source that is immediately to the left of Smartthings, the menu just closes. I guess it's preloading the next one, which is Smartthings and there's something that caused it to glitch. (I tried the obvious like unplugging TV disconnecting internet, didn't help)
So as I can't get at the Smartthings settings on the source menu, is there some way I can remove it? I don't use it very often so quite happy to uninstall it, but how? I'm reluctant to to a full reset as I can probably live with just ignoring Smartthings for a while. Maybe it's a glitch that will be fixed in a software update, who knows?

I have the same issue on my q9 tv.
In the app library version is 1.0.198 and it has updated itself on Jan. 25.
This is really annoying. Does anybody have any solution?

Now if I access it in the Apps menu it won't load, but so long as I don't add it back to home again I can just forget about it.
Maybe it'll start working one day with a SW update but I can live without it no problem as have it on my phone anyway.
Interesting you say was updated on Jan 25. That's exactly when the problem appeared for me so it must have been the update that messed it up, as I suspected. Where is it you can read the update date? I couldn't see it.

Application info can be seen on apps library. Choose app and long press on smart remote. It shows additional selections. Unfortunately I can’t remove the application from there.

I just managed to remove the smarthings app from start menu. I disconnected tv from internet which allowed me to remove application before it crashed.

Ah got it, thanks. Yes mine is same, 25th Jan which is what broke it. There is an email address mentioned with the app info so I've emailed in with a link to this thread. Maybe someone will read it and put this problem on their to-do list?
Edit: The email bounced. Guess that address isn't live any more.

Same thing for me. I reset the TV … No change. I am currently removing all apps so I can move them to the LEFT of the (non-functioning) SmartThings app in the bottom menu tray.

As soon as I get to the SmartThings app the whole bottom menu tray of all apps disappears.
You would think that we could go to the APPS icon and from the main apps page DELETE the SmartThings app from the bottom tray menu.

No, you need to ADD apps. When you add an app it lets you park it on the start menu. So what you do is park it on the right, which leaves your focus on the right, so you can now pick up an app that you WANT, and move it left!
Just repeat that process until you have all your wanted apps to the left +1 of SmartThings
