Can I connect my tv to smartthings app without WIFI

I have my tv wired to the internet, do I have to set up a wireless connection too just to add this app?

I believe you need internet connection

I do have a internet connection via ethernet cable but looks like I have to set up a wireless connection.

I have my Samsung TV connected to Smart Things App. You need a WiFi connection otherwise it won't function.
