Hi @CaseyE Whilst several models listed on the Iplayer site will lose support due to technical limitations, does not include the more modern ones. However I am surprised that 2017 models are included.

Hi James,
Losing suport is manageable, but the warning message on the box when Iplayer starts says ''... no longer available on this device...'' . As you say there are recent models that will lose access, the TV's seem to be OK, and the support rep did say ''ALL blu ray players''
It's obviously a BBC thing but something to be aware of as the BBC lists many of the devices as certified (currently) and you can still buy some of these, only to lose access in a few weeks.
Cheers.

Hi @CaseyE , losing support in this case appears to mean Iplayer will no longer function on these devices. Will need to see but since I looked yesterday a few 2018 Blu Ray Players have been added, though I do not see any UHD ones. Perhaps a Moderator can confirm the situation, I have contacted BBC to see if they can shed any more light. May I ask if you have access to iplayer via your smart Tv?
I was announced early in the year that Samsung would not be making any new Blu Ray Players https://www.whathifi.com/news/samsung-confirms-its-ending-blu-ray-player-production
