TVI purchased a Samsung TV about 3 years ago (model: UA55NU7100) and the left side of my screen is all of a sudden dark. I went through the troubleshooting tips (such as self diagnosis).
I have read several pages of comments from people experiencing the same issue, who have needed to pay to resolve it. My family has always purchased Samsung because of their quality televisions. A television should not have this type of issue in just a few years. I don’t find it ethical to have consumers pay to service a widespread issue with the actual product. Is there a solution to this issue?

TVManufacturer guaranty is one thing. It's also important what is regulated by consumer laws in your country. Here in Norway it's 5 years (for products meant to last more than 5 years) so here such an issue would be covered free of cost.
