I just bought Q70T 55" and I've noticed some pretty heavy backlight bleed from each corner of the screen, it makes watching movies with dark scenes unbearable. I have 30 days to return the item, but I'm afraid that the company I bought it from will say this is normal. I would disagree, but would like to get some thoughts on this. This is my third Samsung TV and I've NEVER seen anything like this before. Please advise.

Trust me, for the pain you have boxing the thing up and getting it sent back (I've been through it twice now), it's worth it if you get a nice new, perfect working one. You'll get peace of mind. Good luck!

Hi
Could you send me how looks now the "good" screen? Because I have the same problem as you had. I don't know what I should do with this. I want to compare my screen with yours This model has a edge lighting so some effect in the corners may appear, but I'm thinking how huge it can be. I found a test in rtings.com and there we have 9 score in this case so it is excellent. Please take a look "Black Uniformity" and "Gray Uniformity" topics. Very nice black screen presented, what is awesome.

Here you have my problem. Please let me know what do you think. The effect in real is not that big as on images but at night when the room is dark I see gray winette in the corners. During the day this is not as big and that's why it is impossible to check this failure in the shop on site.
Should I play again in this Samsung lottery? 🤣😔
Regards!

Yours is really bad 😔
Check rtings link with test what I attached above, there you have screen black and really uniform. I can't believe how samsung can sell such qualitatively different products. This is seriously q70t model?
Maybe I should keep my unit and try to not focusing on this feilure. I don't know. I'm waiting for @redspace answer and opinion. We will see.

It is the q70t indeed. Granted it doesnt look that bad to the naked eye, but still, very noticeable. I will update here again when i have an answer from samsung themselves.
I dont think you should settle for a bad unity. I have a 32" Va samsung pannel as well, and while it has a little backlight bleed, it's hardly noticeable, and it cost more than half of what the Q70T cost me. There is a limit of knowing how this edge lit technology works and a disgracefull pannel.
If samsung allows me for a refund, i will save a bit more and go for a true oled or at least a full array pannel in the near future.

Don't settle for it. Get a new one, it's not worth the hassle. You paid a lot of money for it!

Sorry to hear that. I’m not sure which country you’re in, but in the UK where I live, there are laws against things like this. Apparently if you buy something online, you are entitled to a refund before a certain amount of days are up, even if there’s nothing wrong with the item. It’s because you were not able to inspect something before you bought it.
