Hi all,

I expect that I know the answer but can anyone confirm the network card speed for the one connect boxes?

I have a #QN700A which supports 8K and when connected via Ethernet I can not achieve a speed greater than around 90Mbps.

However, the same cable plugged into another device achieves 900Mbps +.

If I switch to WiFi I am able to achieve speeds ranging from 150-200Mbps. I have a 1Gbps connection.

I called Samsungs technical help and the ‘technician’ said they didn’t know the answer and suggested I should seek a second opinion.

I am quite surprised that Samsung appear to have a 10/100 Ethernet network card installed on an 8K television. Surely they foresaw that streaming of 8K media may be more data intensive than that?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Yep you are correct 100Mbps for the on board card. 4k only needs 50Mbps and 8k usally AV1 so I'm some cases not much more. Use wifi if you've got the speed or ethernet for more reliable but realistic you don't need more than 50Mbps

Found this online
"8K 60 Hz 4:4:4, 80.19 Gbps is required"
So once you apply compression 100Mbps will be 100000% fine
