I’m starting this thread because various issues have been mentioned with QLEDs but I’m finding it difficult to find the relevant threads.
After update 1402, my Q85T is better but has some issues.
Ultimately, I’m pretty disappointed in Samsung and the various issues with these TVs. Can someone please advise the tech team? @AntS

Yes, they have done some weird things to the updates and by the way it looks they dont intend to fix it, I have the same issues with my Q8fnb as well , the banding issues and exaggerated contrast seems like part of their picture goal or rather as a result of what they are trying for, it has overexposed compression artifacts and digital banding that is very apparent. The faces on people look unnatural, greesy, sweaty, I guess to improve off angle viewing increase specular highlights which has something to do with HDR that they are trying to tweak causing these negative issues in all aspects. The small incremental improvements that come after these firmware updates not add much if at all to the betterment of the viewing experience, at least for now. I think it common sense to only release an update if it absolutely needed right away if its security related or its malfunctioning, otherwise release an update when its fully approved to look good or work properly not while people are using the tvs, upsetting "everyone!" making tvs look as bad as a $500 budget tv. We can only wait but if this is what they will continue to do in the future I and other's will not want to go through this again and buy some other brand. SAMSUNG NE3DS NEW MANAGEMENT, AND MAYBE NEW EYES AND POSSIBLY NEW TECHNICIANS IN THIS AREA, because this is not going right.
