We bought the above tv following advice from Currys that we would be able to access Freeview. After using Sky and recently Virgin we have retired and as all our kids have gone we are moving to a house that has excellent internet, a sky dish but no aerial. I wanted to see what life would be like with freeview so tried to access it from Smart Hub and could not do so. I spotted a post elsewhere that said this was not possible with their tv but did not know the age of the tv that was referred to. Is this the case with ours please?

Hi there 👋 and welcome.
In short words yes, you would need an aerial in order to watch Freeview live channels on TV, you can use Internet connection to watch things like bbc iplayer, Netflix, Disney+ amazon (but they require subscription) or you can use one of the streaming boxes, like sky stream, ee tv box, roku just to name few.
