My smart TV, model UE32H5303AW, is suddenly not making a connection with the internet. The tv doesn't receive the correct IP adres, or refuses to receive it. It automatically uses the standard IP adres, 169.254.xx.xx. It is a wired connection. All my other devices are working perfectly on the same router/wifi.
In my opinion I have tried everything that I can:
Tv reset, router reset, DHCP on and off, manually enter ip adres, use DNS 8888/8844.
Only thing I can think of is a software update, but I think i already have the latest update, version 1180?
Can someone please help me out!? No Netflix for already a week is killing me.....
Thanks!

Hi @KB_NL,
That is a strange problem. What is the full Model Code of your TV?
See the sticker on the back of the TV and must end on XXN. The TV is from 2014.
Your Software Version is up-to-date so i think that is not the problem.
I see that you have tried a lot of things to fix this issue.
- Could you put your TV without power for a while?
- Could you try to make a wired connection? This is to rule out the possibility if there is a problem with the NETWORK-WLAN CLIENT.
- Try to enter all the internet setting manualy on the TV. Enter an IP-address that is above the other devices. This to avoid conflicts.
In this way:
- Self chosen IP-address
- Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
- Gateway: same IP-address as your router
- DNS-server: same IP-address as your router
I like to hear from you..
Groet, Dick

Thank you for your reply!
Model code is UE32H5303AWXXN, version 02.
I actually have tried all the above.
It is allready a wired connection. It is connection to a Wifi Booster, which has always worked perfectly, and still does for my phone and laptop.
I have also tried the manual settings. Put in several adresses but non of it works.
The TV shows the following;
"Automatic IP settings failed. Check if the DHCP server is switched on and restart your router. Contact your service provider for more information"

Hi there @KB_NL,
Shoot! That's a bummer. Still no Netflix 😡😉.
Only a few things i can think of and than i'm empty with suggestions 🤷♂️.
- Put your router without power for a while. You already did a reset.
- Do a different reset of the TV. Turn it on and keep the Power button pressed for 20 seconds. Could also be the Exit/Return key.
- Are all the internet settings on your tv 0.0.0.0 if you see that error? (in Automatic modus). If so there, is a problem with the NETWORK-WLAN CLIENT.
- Could you send me anyway a picture of the settings if they are not empty?
- Don't know if you already tried to make a Wireless connection. If not, try on 2.4 Ghz or 5 Ghz (if your router supports that).
Okay, that's enough homework for the weekend 😰.
I hope that you can look at Netflix again and don't shoot the messenger if it doesn’t work🔫🙈😉..
