Stop split screen mode.

My tab 3 keeps getting quite hot and reverts to split screen mode. Have gone online but I  don't have any of the settings suggested so cannot stop it! Any ideas? Tried double tap. The only thing that works temporarily is to turn off and on - NOT restart.

that doesn't sound right to me. Have you made any change to the Tab recently and/or is this presenting any damage at all?

As it is only just 2 years old, I'm not really happy! 

It's now shutting down as and when it wants meaning I can't rely on it.

Is there nothing I can do online?

@Cathryn: Can you try removing any recently installed applications to see if this helps? If the issue persists, backup your Tab 3 on a home computer using Smart Switch and perform a factory data reset to return the tablet to its default settings.
