Settings app search suggestions broken on Tab S7 FE Wifi edition.
Settings search broken only when doing a search inside the Settings app, but the suggestion is working fine when using in Finder (swipe up on home screen)
When search in settings app, no matter you type in or pressing a hash tags, there is no result, only shows a loading circle icon.
Already tried to clear cache and storage for the Settings app and SettingSuggestions app but no helping.
I have done a factory reset then it appears to be working again, but after a few app install and updates, it breaks again. Don't know what the root cause is but it seems to be a buggy system updates.

I have the same issue and I haven't downloaded any apps. Contacted samsung and tried all the suggestions without any use. Even Samsung help desk managed to access my tab remotely and dealt with the issue but without success. Since the tab was only two weeks old I asked for a replacement which I received. Now had the new tablet four days and the same thing happened. So I'm even considering returning the ***** thing all together as even samsung can't sort the issue!

No amount of factory reset/clear cache/clear data has fixed this for me.
A workaround that I am using is to uninstall updates for the Google Messages app. I found that using the factory version allows search in Samsung Settings to work while installing the update immediately breaks the function after relaunching the Settings app.
To use this workaround, go to Settings > Apps > scroll down to Messages (by Google LLC) > tap the options (three dots on the upper right portion of the screen) > Uninstall Updates > relaunch the Settings app. To make sure this does not get updated (until this gets fixed), go to Google Play Store app > search for Messages (by Google LLC) > tap on options > uncheck "Enable auto-update."
Or you can simply uninstall the Google Messages app entirely if you are not using this app.

I had the same problem on A8 tablet 10.5 inch recently released in UK January 2022. No search in settings app. This fix also worked on this device, thanks again.

No, but I did phone them yesterday before I saw your post and they didn't resolve my problem but just tell me to do factory reset. However, I followed your advice and now will good, thanks again

Thank you so much @Michael Ponce Your advice solved my and other's problem, and thanks to @Samson13579, who I assume created this post about the problem. And all others who shared their experiences.
