"recent" pics in Gallery

How long do pics remain in the "recent" section in galllery app in S6Lite.  How do I delete the "recent" photos without deleting in other folders?  Seems like Samsung has created ducplicate files.  Will samsung fix this anytime soon?  Hopefully Samsung will reply to this.

It's just a shortcut, if you delete from recent it will delete from the folder, it's not a duplicate

Hi, @clebl. Further to what @-Robot- has advised, there is no set time for what constitutes "recent" with regard to the Recent album. It can include shortcuts to a wide array of photos. The album exists as a chronological record of photos that have been integrated with your Gallery.

If you want to hide this particular album, please open the Gallery app > Click the 3 lines on the bottom right > Settings > Toggle OFF Select albums to show.

You can easily toggle this on again if you ever want to access the Recent album.
