Settings/Apps/Show system apps/com.android.providers.partnerbookmarks disable (this worked for me)

First it is not acceptable to have such ads in a paying tool.

2nd it is less acceptable to not allow the end user to remove this on purpose.

I can't seem find this setting. From the home screen where all the app icons are, how do I navigate to com.android.providers.partnerbookmarks to disable it? Thanks.

Go to Android Settings, then Apps, then you have to click on 'Show system apps', you will then see com.android.providers.partnerbookmarks

That flow does not work for me. Would it be because of a work profile on the phone. Phone in use is a S23FE

This does work, but it's tricky as there's a couple of extra steps I had to do to see the system apps:

  • Settings; Apps
  • Click on the filter icon top right (just left of the three dots)
  • Click on the filter icon that's at the right of the first line 'Your apps (nnn)........(filter)
  • Select 'Show system apps' that's at the top of the next page and OK
  • Scroll down to com.android.providers.partnerbookmarks and disable it
  • Restart your phone
  • This worked for me on an S24+
