Hi community,
i have a weird problem with my Tab S3. Using the original charger and cable (USB C) the device will not charge anymore. When swithed off and connected to the charger it vibrates, displays the circle with the charging arrow but does not start to charge (showing charging %). Display goes off and same repeats in 10 sec intervals. Not charging also if the tablet is turned on. Same when connected to the computer. The computer also reports some issues recognizing the tablet.
I did not do any soft/hard reset.
I have already tried the same with another cables, another chargers (original with 2A charge, also slower ones and connected to a PC) in all combinations. The same cables/chargers work normaly with a Galaxy phone, but none with the tablet.
Tried out also all charging combinations in the settings (Fast cable charging / Protect battery) - no change.
The good thing is I could charge the tablet normally with the USB-C charger (30W, 5V 2A) from my computer (DELL) and form the computers docking station. Tried 2 different chargers worked with all of them (unfortuntelly they are not mine).
So I'm completely puzzled... Any hint?
Thanks, Primoz

The same happened to my wife's Tab S3 after she plugged her Note 10 USB-C headphones to the S3. The phones worked but when she unplugged them and tried to charge the tablet, it would behave the same as in these posts.
I plugged the phones back in and unplugged them, then the S3 started charging again normally.

Solved this. Had to do with USB OTG cable.
Been charging with the 30w laptop usb charger for the last few days.
Today I plugged my OTG cable back into read a flash drive. After accessing flash drive, and disconnecting OTG. Normal charger and accessing device from laptop with standard USB-c cable started working again. Think some issue with locking port in that OTG mode. Strange that resets didnt clear it.
Apparently also having it plugged into PC and ushing power down + vol down for a few minutes may also force reset and possibly fix it.
Mine is working great again as normal.
My issue was the same as you describe. I had used an OTG Adapter / Flash Drive the night before, put the tab on charge & had the frequent 10 sec buzz but really slow charging. Plugged the OTG Adapter / Flash drive in again, the tab recognised & read the drive - I removed the OTG / Flash drive plugged back in the charger & it's charging fine again now ! No hard reset etc, needed... Have no idea why this happened but after reading your post gave it a try & all is well.... Thanks !! 😊

Kindly help. Ditto same issue. But battrey drained to zero percent. Will oneplus 30W charger charge the tab s3? I currently have no charger that is compatible to charge the tablet so i can insert my flash drive that caused this issue.

Nope, not on my side - I still charge with the DELL computer 30W charger (outputs 20V/1,5A, 12V/2A, 5V/2A).
I also bought a new Baseus 45W car charger with outputs 9V/3A, 5V/4,5A (and @24V source 20V/2,5, 12V/3A) -- still not charging (the original Samsung charger outputs 9V/1,67A, 5V/2A).
On the display of the charger it shows it charges at 5,1V with 1,5 which drops to 0,5A - but on the tablet same situation - charging in pulses, not really charging. Tried with two different cables (original & goo bay)

I've been having the same issue, has anyone else noticed this happened not too long after an update? Hopefully it's just a bug, and they will hot fix it soon. I only hope they didn't do it on purpose trying to force people to have to buy a new device like apple did when the slowed down older devices to make people want to upgrade to faster new devices.

Not even being recognized by the desktop pc else i could see if flashing a custom rom made any difference. For which i would have to root the device.
