I have had the following message come up on my newly purchased tablet which was not part of a trade in with myself
What do I do?

Having the same issue and bought from Samsung directly. Surely this needs more exposure. The Daily Mail would eat this up.

What an absolute joke. If Samsung has given a 3rd party the ability to brick our devices then they remain responsible for the actions of that 3rd party. To simply say they can't do anything about it is appalling.

Ironically I just received an email from Samsung saying my free watch will be delivered soon. Not much good without a phone. They can stick it up their arsenal.

Have received same message on my z flip 3 even though i have email stating my trade in was received.
Need this getting to the big boys out there to kick up some response from samsung on the matter.

We're all screwed. I'll be amazed if anything happens over the weekend now.

Other than our phones are bricked of course. We have 30 days by law that we can reject faulty goods so this maybe what we must do.

I have messaged the Daily Mail as a 'tip'. I'd urge others to do the same. The more publicity this gets the sooner I'd imagine they'll try to actually resolve the issue, rather than telling people it'll be 3 - 5 days before they can get back into their phones. tips@dailymail.com.
At least Facebook's systems outage did not lock users out of their actual devices.
