Bluetooth page turner not working

Heya

Hoping someone can help. I have a brand new Samsung S9 FE tablet. 

I use it for reading sheet music via one drive. I have a donner bluetooth music pedal to turn pages. 

It connects to my tablet perfectly fine... but then it just doesn't turn the page! I have tried 2 different pedals, on 2 different 2 samsusng tablets (A8 too) and then even bought a different brand pedal and that doesn't work. 

I've troubleshooted to my hearts content but it doesn't work. Does anyone else have the same issue recently? Only in the past week has it started.

Any tips appreciated!

It's so strange. I contacted donner and they sent me a recommended app list but.. it's only got apple apps 🙄🙄

I have found opening the PDFs with samsung notes as the default app, it works more consistently. Do you use one drive?

No, I don't use one drive. Also my tech knowledge is limited to things that work. I'm going to get some help from clever clogs next week and I'll report the result.

Yes, please do! Donner must have changed some compatibility recently ?

I think it's a problem of samsung updates. I've used other page turners on onedrive and they stopped working too...
